The Simcoe Mitt and Glove Company building on Pond Street was originally built in 1891 with additions being added in 1916, 1923 and 1928.  The original owners of this building was the Simcoe Gas and Water Company, then the Unique Shoe Co. Ltd., and then The Simcoe Mitt and Glove Company Ltd.  It presently houses the Simcoe Adult Community Centre, the Norfolk Pottery Guild and the Young Theatre Players group.  The building is owned by Norfolk County.
